Thursday August 8th we celebrated Barbara’s dedication and service to the Home as she retires. She has been employed at Doolittle for just under 20 years. We will miss her and wish her a happy retirement!
Mary, Doolittle’s Resident Coordinator, had some fun visitors to the Doolittle Home’s Booth at the 5th Senior Spectacular in North Attleboro last week. Representative Betty Poirier of the 14th Bristol District sponsored the event and invited us to be a part of the day which had approximately 800-1000 visitors learning about local services for seniors.
Emily Gallo of Foxboro, held a fundraiser to benefit the Boston Children’s Hospital. The Residents of Doolittle Home wanted to participate and created a beautiful basket to be part of her raffle. Emily raised $540.00 at her event. Congratulations Emily, what a wonderful opportunity for us to participate! If you would like to help Emily in her fundraising efforts, please contact Mary McGrath at The Doolittle Home.
The Residents enjoyed the Holiday band and Choir organized by the Jaycees. This is an annual tradition and we are so fortunate they make a stop at the Doolittle Home and provide some Holiday spirit for our Home and center of town.
