Please join us for a fall open house with homemade treats and a magic show. Children of all ages welcome. Sunday, November 6th from 2-4 at The Doolittle Home.
We have rescheduled our 2nd annual outdoor concert featuring the Point N Swing Big Band to Sunday, June 12th at 2pm. The Doolittle Home invites the community to join our residents for a lovely afternoon of music and refreshments in our private park adjacent to the parking lot at 16 Bird Street. Bring a folding chair or a blanket and get ready for an old fashioned good time. Balloons, a bubble machine, face painting and cookies and punch will engage youngsters and adults alike. If you have any questions, please call Virginia at 508-543-2694. Hope to see you there!
Please note that we have postponed the concert scheduled for Sunday, May 15th at 2pm in The Doolittle Home private park due to the predicted cool, windy weather in the 50’s with a chance of sprinkles. We will reschedule with the 15-piece band and post the new date soon. Thank you for your understanding.
January and February are good months to hibernate inside, but everyone needs to get out for a little fun. If you’re in the Foxboro area, you may see our white van filled up with happy residents. The “Dine-out Club” chooses a different restaurant each month for lunch. Mai Pearl, The Lafayette House and Luciano’s are all on the list this quarter. Shopping trips to Benny’s, the Dollar Tree, Ocean State Job Lot and CVS are popular destinations for residents. And sometimes it’s a mystery ride, to view the foliage or the snow or famous football players’ houses. Getting out with friends is always a good time and luckily, we have some hardy New Englanders that venture out year round.
January is a very popular move-in month at The Doolittle Home. Fresh starts, new beginnings, winter, whatever the reason, it may be time to start thinking about options for you or your loved one’s health and happiness. Let us take care of the details. The Doolittle Home offers all of our amenities for one monthly fee. We serve three delicious meals cooked from scratch, baked goods galore, and engaging social activities everyday. There are no add-on charges for hair dressing, nails, medication management, laundry, housekeeping, whirlpool baths or assistance with activities of daily living. Our licensed nurses are available 24/7 on the premise and doctors make weekly house calls to check on the residents. Residents may keep their automobiles or take advantage of our accessible van for lunches out, shopping trips, mystery rides or offsite appointments. With our own private park and the Foxboro Town Common a block away, the library across the street and downtown at our doorstep, residents enjoy the easy access to the community’s offerings.
